Chanel Coromandel Parfum (Les Exclusifs)

Chanel‘s original Coromandel gradually turned into my all-time favourite modern designer scent, so today I thought I’d look at the recent extrait or pure parfum version and how it measures up. Spoiler alert: It’s a good successor to the EDT. That was not my opinion of the replacement 2016 eau de parfum, by the way.

Chanel Le Lion (Les Exclusifs)

Le Lion de Chanel is the latest addition to Chanel‘s high-end Exclusifs collection and a fragrance that I loved from the start, so much so that I bought the largest bottle possible soon after my second test. Today, I’ll share a broad scent overview of Le Lion, macro and micro olfactory descriptions, and scent comparisons to other fragrances.

Chanel Paris-Biarritz & Chanel Paris-Deauville

Chanel‘s Paris-Biarritz and Paris-Deauville are two eau de toilettes in its Les Eaux de Chanel collection. Both are unisex fragrances with a very brisk, classique, intensely fresh cologne style.

Scent, Pandemics, Escape, Dogs, Baking, and Surviving 2020

There is not a person alive who has been unaffected by the wretchedness of 2020 and the pandemic that has dominated the list of traumas. I won’t even start to talk about the issues of this year because they are many and all hideous. But what about the escape methods for many of us during the best of times: scent? How much is perfumery still a big escape in the midst of one of the worst years in the 21st century?
