Cartier Vintage Le Baiser du Dragon

Let’s look at a unisex family favourite, Cartier‘s Le Baiser du Dragon, a chypre-ambery scent created by master perfumer Alberto Morillas and filled with amaretto and fresh almonds, lushly creamy gardenia, lovely vetiver, rose, ambery resins, and so much more.

Le Baiser du Dragon (“LBDD”) has gone through some weirdness in terms of being discontinued, brought back with a reformulation, then discontinued once again. My review is only for the first edition version, circa 2003-2010, in eau de parfum concentration. (The review will give you tips on how to try to find this version at the end and also warn you about a batch code problem.)

Vintage Le Baiser du Dragon’s notes are: Amaretto, Bitter Almond, Gardenia, Neroli, Cedar, Iris, Musk, Jasmine, Rose, Vetiver, Patchouli, Benzoin, Amber, Dark Chocolate & Caramel.

My Twitter review is linked below. Some tweets involve screenshots of full text which should be read from left to right. Others are just brief, basic 280 character tweets.

If you love ’80s style powerhouse chypre-oriental hybrids, I suspect that you will probably enjoy vintage Le Baiser du Dragon eau de parfum.
