Perfume Giveaway: Oriza L. Legrand Muguet Fleuri

I’m really happy to announce that Oriza L. Legrand (“Oriza“) has generously offered a huge giveaway of fifteen (15!) travel sprays of its latest fragrance, Muguet Fleuri. This is an International and U.S. giveaway with no geographic restrictions, either, so you can be anywhere in the world.

I’ve just posted my review for Muguet Fleuri which I think is a Spring symphony, with a radiant beginning centered around lilies of the valley, wild violets, peppered violet leaves, and mossy greenness. You can read the review for the full details but, for me, Muguet Fleuri feels like Chypre Mousse‘s more floral, Spring sister. It’s still an enchanted forest, but autumn has been washed away in a spirit of rebirth and new beginnings, and the fairies have come out to play in a sea of green, white, and purple.

THE PRIZES:

Fifteen (15) readers will each get ONE (1) purse spray of 10 ml/0.33 oz of Muguet Fleuri. Just to be crystal clear, the prize is not a full bottle, but a travel spray of 10 ml.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS & TECHNICAL DETAILS:

Please leave a comment letting me know either your favorite muguet (lily of the valley) fragrance, your favorite scent from Oriza L. Legrand, or the scent that best captures Spring for you.

The entry period lasts until the end of Friday, April 18th at 11:59 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST) in the U.S. which is -6:00 GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). There is only one entry per person.

The 15 winners will be chosen by Random.org, and will be announced in a separate post sometime the next day on Saturday, April 19th.

As a side note, I usually respond to each comment individually, but I won’t this time due to a rather busy schedule. I’ll merely leave occasional replies, indicating where someone is on the list.

WINNERS & EMAILS:

Once I post the winners, you have THREE (3) days to contact me with your shipping information. Deadline is end of the day, my time, on Monday, April 21st. Please send an email to Akafkaesquelife @ gmail . com  (all one word, scrunched together) with your shipping details. I will then forward the information onto Oriza L. Legrand.

If you don’t contact me, and if I fail to hear from you within the deadline, I will give your prize to the next person on the list.

SHIPPING:

Oriza L. Legrand will send the prizes directly to the winners. Given that they are located in Paris, it may take some time (up to 2 weeks, depending on your location and Customs processing) for you to receive your gift. It may take even longer if your country has really nightmarish customs issues or is at a greater distance from Paris.

Please be aware that neither Oriza L. Legrand nor I am responsible for items that are destroyed by customs or that are lost in transit for some reason.

FINALLY:

I’d like to express my enormous gratitude to Mr. Hugo Lambert and Mr. Franck Belaiche of Oriza L. Legrand for their generosity, kindness and thoughtfulness in offering so many wonderful gifts. Some companies may give away a small sample, but travel sprays of such a large size and to FIFTEEN readers all around the world, without any restriction at all?!

I’m thrilled, primarily because it means that more people will get the chance to experience a really unique perfume house whose high-quality creations are done with elegance in a respectful nod to the past. My secret hope is that more of you will end up sharing my admiration and respect for the house, as well as for its gentlemanly owners who have put their heart and soul into bringing Oriza not only back to life, but also into the 21st century.

So, good luck to you all! May the perfumed winds take you to the heart of an enchanted forest, covered with muguet and violets, where the fairies dance the Rite of Spring.

GENERAL MUGUET FLEURI & ORIZA DETAILS:
Cost & Availability: Muguet Fleuri is an eau de parfum with about 18% concentration that comes in a 100 ml bottle, and costs €90. Muguet Fleuri is available directly from Oriza’s e-store. A great sample set is also available from the e-Store (scroll down midway to the page and it is on the right.) The set includes 7 fragrances in the range, except for Foin Fraîchement Coupé, with each scent coming in 2 ml spray vials. The whole thing costs a low €9. Separate shipping is listed as €9, but a friend said he was charged only €7, so it may depend on your location. Oriza ships globally, as I’ve had readers order the sample set from all over.
In the U.S.: Luckyscent should begin carrying the entire Oriza L. Legrand line, including Muguet Fleuri (as well as the Oriza soaps and candles), starting next week. Currently, you can find Oriza at New York’s JuJu s’amuse. It has two locations, and I’ve provided the number for one, in case you want to check whether they do phone orders: 100 Thompson Street New York, NY 10012, with Ph: (212) 226.1201; but, also, 1220 Lexington Avenue (at 82nd Street), New York, NY 10018. I do not think they will have Muguet Fleuri at this point, since the perfume was released just last week in Paris.
Other vendors in Europe: Oriza’s perfumes are also sold at Paris’ Marie-Antoinette (which was my favorite perfume shop in Paris), as well as one store in Sweden. In the Netherlands, the Oriza line is carried at ParfuMaria. Germany’s First in Fragrance also carries the Oriza Legrand line, but Muguet Fleuri is not shown on their website at this time. Oriza L. Legrand is also sold at a few places in Japan. For details on those retailers and the Swedish store, you can check Oriza Points of Sale page.

103 thoughts on “Perfume Giveaway: Oriza L. Legrand Muguet Fleuri

  1. I’m in. I am so due for a cleansing of grime, a spirit of rebirth, and new beginnings. I love LOTV, which makes it strange that my only LOTV perfume is some vintage Diorissimo that I’ve nearly used up. Thanks to all involved for the very generous giveaway.

  2. My favorite muguet is the one from Van Cleef & Arpels, however, at the moment I don’t think I have any others except for Kai. L don’t own any Oriza L. Legrand Perfumes and am not familiar with them. So many perfumes…so little time. Thanks for the draw.

  3. This is indeed amazing (although being the first to comment makes me feel like I’m stalking your blog! LOL) and very generous! I mentioned in the comment to your review how much it made me want to try this perfume. I’m still new to this so I don’t have a favorite lily of the valley scent (another reason I want to try it), but for spring-y, green scents, I’ve recently been auditioning Un Jardin Sur Le Toit (works better on my skin than the other Hermes “Jardins” I’ve tried). Good luck to everyone!!!

  4. Dear Kafka and Oriza, first of all thank you very much for this wonderful giveaway! My fave lily of the valley perfumes so far are Carillon pour un ange and Odalisque, and the favorite Oriza fragrance is Chypre Mousse of which I own a bottle.I would love to get to know its sister too,so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.Thank you again!

  5. Oh oh oh! I suppose it’s rather obvious, but my favorite Oriza fragrance is Chypre Mousse! I don’t have a favorite muguet scent yet, although I’ve been looking around for one this Spring, and it sounds like it may very well end up being this one!

Oooh, so excited, thank you so much for facilitating/hosting the giveaway, Kafka!

  6. Wow! Thanks for this lovely giveaway! I have yet to find my holy grail lily of the valley, though I like Lys 41 quite a bit as far as lilies go! I am a big fan of Chypre Mousse so this sounds like something I would love.

  7. Oh what a lovely giveaway! And how very kind of you and Oriza – I have not heard of this house till I read your review yesterday so am very keen to know more. My favorite muguet-influenced fragrance is ELDO Don’t Get Me Wrong Baby, which – contrary to the name – I find enormously wearable, and I am also partial to Idylle.

My favorite spring perfume this year (Southern Hemisphere so my seasons are the other way around) was Byredo’s La Tulipe. It has a green freshness and rhubarb note that made me feel alive after a long winter, and as if I were inhaling a spring breeze blowing over a bed of freesia bulbs. )Now freesia is a hard note to get right! )

    Thanks again for the opportunity!

  8. My favorite lily of the valley is Diorissimo. I also like Goldleaf by Thymes, anything with that flower is beautiful to me!

  9. What a lovely and generous give away! My spring scent has been Bois de Violet by Serge and LOTV was Diorissimo from the 60’s. About a month ago, I started looking for a delicate floral for spring and perhaps this is it! Thanks for this fragrant opportunity from a truly beautiful house.

  10. Hello and thank you so much for this giveaway :). I have many favorite spring scents – and most of them old school – but the one that comes to my mind right now is (surprisingly) Pecksniff’s white floral!

  11. Oh boy. Oh boy. Oh boy!!!!!!! Gorgeous review, Kafka! Let’s see….my favorite LOTV is the plant itself. Sadly I have not found one yet that I love. Now if we could travel back in time to when I was in 7th grade, I could say, Muguet de Bois by Coty. Oh my goodness I adored that stuff!! My favorite Oriza is Horizon in the winter, and Chypre Mousse in the heat. But the absolute best has to be Chypre Mousse. It is just ridiculously strange and enticing, truly mood altering. My very favorite spring perfume is Exultat by Maria Candida Gentile.

  12. Well, I already left a fairly gushing comment on the review thread, but let me toss my hat in the giveaway ring by repeating here that Chypre Mousse and DeProfundis are two of my fav Spring scents. To me, Chypre Mousse is the smell not of Fall but of late March early April, pre-budbreak, as the Ground is slowly warming.

  13. I have recently fallen in love with Malle’s Iris Poudre which is not precisely muguet-centric, but it does include it as an important part of the composition. Coincidentally, I’ll be giving the sample I got from a nice Saks SA a few wearings this Spring. However, the one that captures “Spring” best for me is Heeley’s L’Amandiere.

  14. Thank you for this giveaway. I am still on the path of fragrance journeys so my only real Lily of the Valley scent I have worn for any length of time is Christian Dior’s Diorissimo that I first sampled 40 years ago and as I am now rediscovering florals I think is a wonderful perfume. The only Oriza perfume I have sampled is Chypre Mousse and would love to eventually have as a full bottle in my collection. I was given a bttle of Tocca Liliana last year and that is a perfume that makes me think of spring and brightness of that time of year. Where would we be without all these choices.

  15. My favourite LOTV fragrance at the moment is Fleur de Cristal and my favourite L. Legand is Relique D’Amour

  16. My favorite Lily of the Valley is vintage DIORISSIMO! Since I’ve only experienced Chypre Mousse, that has to be my favorite Oriza Legrand (hopefully I will add Muguet Fleuri to that roster) and my favorite springtime fragrance is vintage Nocturnes de Caron. Thank you for the draw!

    • I’m glad you got to try Chypre Mousse, as I know you love your oakmoss. What did you think of its unusual character, Maggie?

I have you on my list at #17.

  17. My Favorite Oriza fragrance is Chypre Mousse. I read about it on your blog and I ordered samples and it is my absolute favorite of their fragrances.

  18. I do not have a favorite scent from Oriza and this would be a new flower for me. I admit I generally go for the blousier gardenia. The scent profile here intrigues me. 🙂

I’m ready for some Spring renewal with a bit of a punch but warmth.

  19. Oh my. I think I’ll probably swoon in ecstasy upon smelling this!Your review is as heavenly as the scent most likely is.

I have stayed away from lily of the valley scents since my mother passed away. I gave her a bottle of Coty’s Muguet des Bois when I was in grade school. She also grew it, and it grew profusely around the house I spent half my childhood in. Naturally, the scent makes me think of her.

I’ve been thinking lately that it’s high time for me try scents with this note, and as I’m completely head over heels in love with some of the Legrand line, I think this will be the Holy Grail muguet scent for me. Now, I might be disappointed, but I rather doubt it.

Chypre Mousse is my favorite of the line, though I love Relique d’Amour even more, but it lasts no more than an hour on my skin (as you well know). I’d be happy to have a full bottle of it, but I’m afraid I’d use it up in a week!

Thanks to you, Hugo Lambert and Franck Belaiche for the generous giveaway. I had email exchange with Mr. Lambert; he is a delightful man.

Btw, I ordered the sample pack (a few days before this was being sent out, alas) and it arrived quite quickly to my rural location in the USA.

    Cheers!

    • I think “delightful” is one of the ways to describe Mr. Lambert. It really fits him wonderfully. I have you on my list at #20.

  20. Reve d’Ossian is my favorite Oriza L. Legrand’s perfume although I haven’t tried all the fragrances from the house. Lily of the valley is usually hidden in my perfumes so I can’t tell you that I like A men or Fahrenheit because of its presence in them but I smell it and love it in Tauer’s Vetiver Dance. Although I don’t wear Diorissimo, the old one has been the most pleasant lily of the valley perfume to my nose so I love to sniff it.
I like Chypre Mousse and description of Muguet Fleuri “like Chypre Mousse‘s more floral, Spring sister” sounds very interesting. This giveaway is so rarely generous, thank you and thanks to Oriza L. Legrand.

  21. Astoundingly generous give away! Spring for me is about lilacs. I have been wearing Malle’s En Passant recently. Lilac with wheat notes takes me home.

  22. This giveway is very generous, thank you and Oriza L. Lembrand. I am very new to this wonderfull world of perfume but so far my favourite perfume for spring is Lumiere Blanch

    • Since there is another “Ana” who has entered above you, I’m going to put you down as “Ana C.” if that is all right with you. You are #23 on my list.

  23. -a favorite muguet scent; Muguet Guerlain
-a favorite scent from Oriza L. Legrand; Chypre Mousse

I am so pleased to of found your blog and to receive your posts. Your insights are priceless.

Additionally the generosity of Oriza L. Legrand (“Oriza“) to offer your readers/followers this prized opportunity is a wonderful “gift.”

The artistry from the House of Oriza L. Legrand (“Oriza“) is
a SUPERIOR contribution to to making a place in the art of fragrance creation history, thank you!

  24. Such a generous giveaway! I’ve not yet had the pleasure to try any Oriza L. Legrand but this sounds right up my alley.

My favorite spring fragrances right now are Odalisque, Chanel 19 and Un Air de First.

I’m a bit of a newcomer here but have been reading your blog pretty much daily for the last couple of months. Thanks for the chance!

  25. My favorite muguet fragance is Andy Tauer’s Carillon pour un Ange, is my spring scent!
I’ve found Chypre Mousse to be too…harsh on my skin, it’s a pain because in my friend’s skin is a precious forest! But Deja le Printemps is my favorite Oriza’s perfume, a masterpiece.

    Thanks for the draw!

    • Skin chemistry definitely makes a difference in which notes are amplified. I know that, on some people, Chypre Mousse became too minty, herbal, and almost medicinal. It’s interesting how your friend’s skin makes it “a precious forest.” Lovely description!

Good luck in the drawing. I have you as #27 on my list.

  26. I am in love with Chypre Mousse and would be thrilled to have the opportunity to try Muguet Fleuri! Thank you so much for the generous offering!

  27. Thank you so much for the drawing! My favorite perfume featuring muguet so far is Odalisque by Parfums de Nicolaï. I don’t think I’ve ever sampled anything from Oriza L. Legrand.

  28. My favorite Oriza L. Legrand scent is Reve d’Ossian–I was actually wearing it just yesterday. Thanks for this wonderful draw!!

  29. Oh wow, a full 10ml purse spray? I’m drooling. My favourite Oriza L. Legrand perfume is Chypre Mousse, which I bought on your recommendation when I visited Paris last December. It was one of the most original perfumes that I had smelt in a long time. I’m excited (fingers crossed) to smell their treatment of muguet in Muguet Fleuri. Thanks for hosting the draw, Kafka, and to the good monsieurs of Oriza L. Legrand for their generosity.

  30. I don’t have a favorite fragrance with that note. What a lovely opportunity to try one. Thank you Kafka and thank you to Oriza L. Legrand.

  31. I have not tried any Oriza L. Legrand but have been longing to try Chypre Mousse and can now add Muguet Fleuri to my list, especially since I can’t think of any LOTV-centric perfumes in my collection. Might have to splurge on that sample set. My favorite spring scents are CBIHP Under the Arbor, chanel No. 19 and No. 5, and Ineke’s Balmy Days and Sundays. Thank you so much for hosting this generous draw and thank you to the company for offering it.

  32. Thank you so much for the giveaway! I don’t have a favorite lily of the valley perfume, because actual lilies of the valley are my favorite flowers. My landlady has some near the driveway, and I always stop and sniff them once they’ve bloomed. But my favorite spring scent is Heeley Menthe Fraiche — it feels so clean and fresh on, and I anticipate spring even more when I wear it.

  33. Favorite Oriza is Deja le Printemps, so this one may well be up my alley–thanks for the draw!

  34. Oooh, thank you Oriza L Legrand! Thank you Kafka! My favorite Muguet remains Coty Muguet de Bois. I have many happy memories of wearing it after long winters. I also adore Chypre Mousse and if I’m lucky enough to be a winner I know I’ll adore it too.

  35. What a great giveaway…fingers crossed! I have fond memories of my mother’s LOTV by Penhaligon, and I enjoy Diorissimo, but perhaps my favourite spring scent this year is Atélier’s Grand Néroli. Thanks for this generous offer.

  36. Awesome giveaway !! Thanks so much for this Lilly of the valley is one of my favourite notes and flowers <3 I just fall in love with Chypre Mousse after just tried it once 🙂 Good luck to you all := )

  37. What a delightful giveaway! I love lilies of the valley, and finding a good representation of this scent is a challenge. While I dream of someday getting a Guerlain May Day Muguet, right now, I wear Debut by Parfums Delrae. Considering how much I want the Chypre Mousse, I feel there may be TWO Oriza Legrand bottles in my future…

  38. Hi Kafka…my favorite scent so far this spring has been Profumum Roma Aqua Viva….it is an orange on different level and really captures the essence of what I feel spring should project.
    Regards,
    Martin
    P.S.
There is a great hotel near The Eiffel Tower called Hotel Muguet.
    M

  39. The scent that epitomizes Spring to me is Eau Sauvage by Dior. It is refreshing and light at the same time smooth and dreamy. I like the crisp bergamot at the top with the added greenness of the rosemary and basil. The cumin and sandalwood also adds a special touch to the mix and is just makes it wonderful. I can’t say enough about it! I love that Spring has finally sprung and I will be wearing this scent more often. Thank you so much for this wonderful giveaway K!

  40. I adore Chypre Mousse and the comparison to it made me know I just had to try this. I’m certain I’d love it – my current favority Lily of the Valley scent is Tauer’s Carillon pour un Ange. Thanks for organizing the giveaway – hope I’m a lucky winner!

  41. Favorite Muguet scents? Well, I’ve always been a huge lover since childhood of Coty’s Muguet des Bois. I have a rather large vintage bottle on my dresser at this moment! I’m also a big fan of Tauer’s Carillon pour un Ange (intense gold and green lushness), and of course vintage Diorissimo is beyond compare. I love that there are violets in the notes for this Muguet Fleuri, another favorite floral note of mine, and I’m sure it will make this Muguet scent unique. I can barely wait to get my hands on some of this! Thank you so much for the giveaway! 🙂

  42. I don’t have a favorite Oriza LeGrand yet and I find muguet to be a tricky note. Maybe Muguet Fleuri will be “the one”. Parfums de Nicolai Le Temps D’Une Fete is a perennial springtime favorite for me. Thanks to you and Oriza L Legrand for a great giveaway!

  43. Thank you to you and Oriza for the generous giveaway. My favourite lily of the valley scent to date is Diorissimo, at least as it used to be. My favourite Oriza fragances are Horizon and Jardins d’Armide, and the fragrance that best represents springtime for me is Lez Nez’s The Unicorn Spell.

  44. As a May Baby, Lily of the Valley has always been “my” flower. Coty’s Muguet des Bois has been a favorite fragrance since I was a very little girl. This fragrance sounds so lovely! Thank you for the chance to try it.

    • As there is another “Nancy” on the list as well, I have you down as “Nancy K.” if that is all right with you. You are #46 on my list.

  45. Kafka, you really helped me discover Oriza. They sent me a free soap when I got some things from their website. My favourite is Relique d’Amour, particularly for its stately cold opening.

    • I’m so glad I could be helpful. And I love the description of Relique d’Amour as having a “stately” coldness in its beginning. Nice!

I have you at #47 on my list.

  46. My favorite spring fragrance this year is Rose Poivree on the sunny days (even though I know roses are not traditionally tied to spring), and Chanel Cristalle EDT on the days that verge on summer 🙂 Thank you for the draw!

  47. What a great giveaway! The scent that most reminds me of spring is En Passant from the Frederic Malle line by Olivia Giacobetti. Happy springtime everybody!

  48. My favorite spring fragrance is Diorissimo, I always return to it. Thank you for this great giveaway.

  49. My favorite muguet scent,or at least a scent with a strong muguet note to me is Amouage Ubar.As for Oriza L.Legrand I own a bottle of Chypre Mousee and I’m utterly mad about it.It’s so incredibly unique.I bought it unsniffed based on your rave review and there’s not a time that I wear it that I’m not completely transported to a deep dark Scandinavian forest.Hugo was kind enough to send me samples of the other scents and I enjoy all of them especially Reve d’Ossian. Thanks to Hugo and Franck for this amazing giveaway and to you Kafka for hosting the draw and for your ever amazing reviews!

    • Heh, it always gives me such enormous joy to hear that one of your blind buys based on a review or passion of mine ended up being a huge hit with you, RVG. No, seriously, it does. It gives me infinite joy. To read that someone is “utterly mad” about Chypre Mousse in particular is lovely.

I have you at #51. Good luck.

  50. A big thank you to Oriza for the generosity. 🙂
My favorite muguet is Diorissimo and that’s basically the only muguet I like as the others I’ve tried seem to be poisoned with clean musks. 🙁

  51. I love Passage d’Enfer, I reckon that’s when I learnt to love lilies. Also love love love Relique d’Amour. Thanks to you Kafka and the kind gentlemen behind Oriza for this giveaway! Merci beaucoup!

  52. Dear Kafka,
this is an incredible opportunity! Thank you and thanks to the gentlemen at Oriza L. Legrand. I still haven’t tested any of their fragrances, that why I hope I win this time. I remember how I wanted Jardins d’Armide…
I do prefer the scent of lily-of-the-valley natural – it’s my favorite spring flower, but in perfumes I often find it oversoapy and sharp. I am not a Diorissimo girl, though I like it on some people. Actually, it fitted most amazingly a male colleague at the University…
My lily probably should be paired with bitter rose like in Chloe Eau de Parfum and Idylle by Guerlain which Iike a lot. I cannot write ‘love’ because pure florals are not the fragrances to make my mind explode in fireworks and grab a bottle!
Considering Muguet Fleuri has a chyprey vibe, I think this could be a frag worth trying and wearing!

  53. What a great give-away! I love green fragrances with flower themes, such as up-lifting Carillon pour un Ange, Odalisque, and most recently the great Magnolia Grandiflora Sandrine. It’s not long ago that I have discovered your blog, and it brings great pleasure in my daily reading intake. Thank you very much.

  54. How generous of them!! I haven’t tried any of the Oriza L. Legrand perfumes yet but I’ve always wanted to try Jardins d’Armide. I’m also drawn to their collection of soaps… it seems they are pure luxury!
My favourite muguet fragrances are Le Muguet by Guerlain and Muguet de Bois by Coty.
What a great spring giveaway! 🙂

  55. Lovely giveaway opportunity 😉 Thank you, Kafka and Oriza!
Muguet is my ‘birth’ flower so I’ve always had a soft spot for it. All time fave(s): Chamade and Vent Vert; Yardley for super-budget emergencies and Kenzo Parfum D’Ete which got me nicely through a couple of barren summers. More recently, a sample of MFK’s Universalis disappeared pretty fast… I have yet to try the Oriza beauties and was intending to blind-buy Chypre Mousse – based on Kafka’s incredible review – but maybe that can be for autumn now? Good luck everyone! Gxx

  56. Horizon and relique d’amour are my favorite from Oriza. I had a great time in the Paris boutique, un très sympathique accueil m’a été fait. Beautiful place for beautiful perfumes.
    Thank you

  57. My favorite is Caron’s. I love the plant Lily of the valley for its delicate grace and it’s rich green white contrast. Thank you for hosting this giveaway

  58. I like Van Cleef and Arpels Muguet and profumium Acqua Viva for spring. Thank you Oriza for the giveaway!,,

  59. My favorite LOTV was Diorissimo, my wedding fragrance. I don’t have enough of the vintage left to use as frequently as I’d like and I haven’t found its equivalent. The VCA Muguet is pretty good, but a bit too clean. The current version of Diorissimo just makes me sad. The Oriza sounds quite promising. Thanks for the draw!

  60. My favorite scent from this line is Jardins d’Armide (on my FB list! They need to be here in the Middle East.) thanks for the draw!

  61. My favorite lily of the valley is definitely Diorissimo EDT. Such a soft, lovely fragrance and yet very radiant at the same time.

    Thanks for the giveaway.

  62. I grew up liking Crabtree & Evelyn’s Lily of the Valley and have since moved to Diorissimo. I’d be really interested in trying a new one!

  63. What a generous offer! My favorite Muguet is Guerlain. I have not had the opportunity to try any Oriza L. Legrand perfumes yet. You have been making me curious with your wonderful reviews.

  64. Crap, I hate your guts.

🙂 Not really. I was about to dismiss this since I hated Oriza’s other green floral so much… but if you took that mushroomy, earthy, aspect out of Chypre Mousse, I’d have liked it. (Wonder why it is that I tend to have such violent reactions of dislike when a fragrance is “Amazing, EXCEPT for this one thing”?)

I liked older (early 2000s) Diorissimo, and the first Kenzo Parfum d’Ete as well as Tauer Carillon pour un Ange.

  65. I’m such a fan of Chypre Mousse (thanks to you, Kafka!), which is easily my favorite of the Oriza fragrances I’ve sampled so far, that I’d absolutely love to try out what you consider to be its counterpart!

  66. I think my only recent contact with lili of the valley was a Guerlain sample I got back in 2011 and it was gorgeous but a bit out of my price range at that time. I think I have smelled Diorissimo but not in a long time so I cannot really tell what is my favorite lili of the valley. It may be this one though 😉

  67. What a great giveaway!!! I don’t have a favorite lily of the valley scent. I do have plenty of it sprouting up in my flower beds though. I enjoy displaying them in small vases throughout the house. YUM!!!
My favorite scent for Spring is Donna Karan Gold EDP. I just love it for this time of year.

  68. Diorissimo for sure, the old one. And hydroxycitronellal itself 🙂 I love Muguet Argente, the local miracle here in Russia.

  69. I don’t think I know how lily of the valley smells. I don’t think I have ever seen the flower itself either and I have never smelled any of the Oriza perfumes. Sorry! What a crappy entry of mine! I do love green scents in the spring. Vent Verde, Vetiver Extraordinaire are among my favorites!

  70. Although I have never tried this house, I am truly drawn in. Reading the reviews and notes, I am in complete awe and feel I would love any of these fine fragrances. Oeillet Louis XV and Chypre Mousse sounds right up my alley!

My go to LOTV is Diorissimo. I happen to love most flowers especially white ones.

Please enter me in the contest. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway!

  71. I don’t have a favourite, not yet. Carillion Pour Un Ange doesn’t work on my skin–it becomes overpoweringly sickly-sweet on me, in a an “I’ve eaten too many sweeties” way rather than drowning happily in honey-sweet. And modern Diorissimo smells so thin compared to the one I remember wearing when I was young and girly. And it lasts about 30 minutes on me. Curses.

But with spring arriving, I’ve been looking for a lily of the valley perfume (even though I am usually more in love with the scent of full-blown lush lilies) and this sounds wonderful with the violets holding strong and keeping pace. I was at the florist last week, and she had a bowl full of muguet–ordered them just for herself, so she could keep smelling them in this first week of clear, cold Scottish sunshine–and I was amazed at how much I missed that smell now I no longer have a garden.

(p.s. I’ve not commented here before, but I love your reviews…which sent me to discover, and adore Chergui, among other new discoveries for me. For which, many thanks indeed.)

  72. Can’t say I associate any fragrance with a particular season, but if I had a gun put to my head, I’d go with MFK Lumiere Noire Pour Homme… I guess :/

  73. Love muguet frarances with Diorissmo and Guerlain’s muguet being my favourites. Thank you very much for the draw!

  74. Burberry London is the perfect spring time perfume for me. It’s clean, light, and the smell of jasmine is sweet and romantic.

  75. I like Kai for LOTV. I have Tauer’s Carillon Pour Un Ange but it doesn’t smell anything like the flower to me. I probably won’t smell the real thing until late May this year because of the crazy long winter we still seem to be having.

  76. I love spring flowers (including LOTV and violet), but haven’t found many perfumes that speak to me in the same way the flowers themselves do. I like En Passant but I’m really still searching for the perfect green/white floral – maybe this is it?

  77. lovely Giveaway ♥
I don’t have a favorite lily of the valley scent (i’ve never used it before), but I always want to try 🙂
I’m so interested in the Diorissimo from Dior, because i’ve heard it smells so origininal like lily of the valley.

  78. Thank you Kafka and Oriza L. LeGrand for the generous giveaway! My favorite of their line is Chypre Mousse but I also absolutely love Deja le Printemps.

  79. I’d have to go with Chypre Mousse as fave Oriza, & (surprise, surprise) vintage Diorissimo (in the houndstooth checked flacon) as fave LOTV.

Plus this time I’m entering just the single entry as my ‘SO’ absolutely detests LOTV so won’t even allow me to enter an extra entry on his/my behalf as he’d rather I not be one of the lucky ones at all, that’s how much he hates the stuff. 😀 – But thanx for the draw K & Oriza !!

  80. Fabulous draw – thanks to you and Oriza. I don’t have a favourite LOTV … yet. My favourite Oriza is Horizon and I think Le Temps D’Une Fete is a great springtime perfume.

  81. Lovely opportunity, and many thanks. Violette Précieuse is a favorite this time of year, and Chypre Mousse sits at the top of my list.

  82. I own a bottle of Carilloin pour une ange, but I can’t say I’ve found my favorite lily of the valley scent yet. So far I haven’t tried any of Orizas scents, so thanks for this draw!

  83. Reve d’Ossian is my absolute favorite fragrance from the house of Oriza L. Legrand! Simply an outstanding scent!

  84. I have only ever tried one Lily of the valley and that was VC and A muget. I thought it was very nice. Haven’t tried any from Oriza . Would love the opportunity.

  85. Such a generous giveaway, thanks to both Kafka and the wonderful gentlemen at Oriza! My favorite Oriza perfume so far is Chypre Mousse, and is on my short list to get a full bottle when my sample is gone. So far I haven’t tried any muguet fragrances, which is surprising considering it’s my birth month flower! I hope to remedy that with Muguet Fleuri. 🙂
